Capsicum annuum L.

Symptoms induced in controlled conditions (fumigation with ozone)

cv. Mariner

Ozone exposure on plants of green pepper cv Mariner produces decolouration in small areas very close to the main vein of the old leaves (B). Ozone lesions can join together and form irregular shapes near the main vein (C). Photo A shows a healthy pepper leaf from charcoal filtered air treatment.

cv. Estilo

This cultivar is a pointed red pepper, ozone symptoms are very slight chlorosis in the interveinal section of the leaf (A and B).
