Lamottea dianae

Symptoms induced in controlled conditions (fumigation with ozone)

Fumigation of the Spanish endemism Lamottea dianae with enhanced ozone levels in Open Top Chambers (OTCs) produced a faint light brown interveinal stippling. Currently, there is no available information on the vulnerability of European endemic plants to ozone. Under controlled conditions, this species turned out to be very sensitive to this pollutant, and it may be also the case of other endemic plants.
